  • The „Reduce Returns“ patterns are part of the purchase stage of the customer experience.

    The Local Storage Pattern does not reduce returns, but the emissions for transport. If a customer really wants to order three sizes of the same garment, he has to agree to store unwanted products until he is asked to send them to other customers directly. In the prototype, one of the sizes that he orders is send to him by another customer who also ordered it for fitting.

    This patterns makes customers aware of the problems that returns cause, but also lets them participate in the solution.

    After accepting these conditions, the customer can proceed to checkout.

  • Many customers order several sizes of garments for fitting.

  • Returns produce enormous amounts of emission and waste because of damaged products.
