  • The Value Self Assessment Pattern is part of the reuse and resell stage of the customer experience.

    If the product detail page of a product does not show its current value, the customer can estimate it himself. Based on the statistical value drop the wizard shows him the potential value range. To get a more exact estimate, he goes through some steps. Like the overall appearance… – the condition of essential components… – and the performance.

    He now has a more precise estimate of the current value of his product. If he wants to be sure, he can ask an expert for a video call for an evaluation and quote. He can also proceed to the Resell Offers Pattern in this library to see if he gets offers that match his estimate.

  • Until digital product passports are widely established, product data and value estimates have to be done by customers or experts by hand.

  • Used products with a well estimated value are easier to return into the cycle by reselling.
