  • The Sharing to Refinance Pattern is part of the extended use stage of the customer experience.

In the sharing settings of his product, the customer is offered the option to refinance his product.

By choosing this option, the product value indicator under the product expands to show the current value of the product. On the panel below, the customer learns that he can refinance his product in just one year by sharing it 11 days a month. If that is too much for him, he can play around with the numbers to find out that within 2 years he just needs 6 days and within three years just 4 days of sharing per month.

If that fits his personal pattern best, he proceeds to the sharing settings to fix this plan.

  • Sharing products with others on a regular basis is an unfamiliar concept to many customers. The aversion to loss or damage needs to be addressed by a financial incentive.

  • Sharing products reduces the amount of products that need to be manufactured and saves valuable resources.
