  • The Self Monitor Usage Patterns are part of the extended use stage of the customer experience.

Use these patterns to support your customers in monitoring wether they actually use a product.

The second Self Monitor Usage Pattern uses a rewarding mechanism. To keep a product means that the customer likes it - and probably should take good care of it. If he does not use a product anymore and returns it to the cycle, he grows his own little money tree and gains some ecological karma points. So, both choices feel good.

  • We own a lot of products we do not use anymore, but weeding them out takes time and is annoying.

  • Weeding out unused products while they still are in good condition and returning them to the cycle for reuse is the best way to preserve their value.
