  • The Consider Alternative Purchase Pattern is part of the purchase stage of the customer experience.

    On the product detail page of an online shop, the customer is offered the option to compare alternatives to owning this product that may save money and resources.

    On click, the screen turns into two panels. One panel showing the pros and cons of owning this product. On the other panel, the customer can swipe through different alternatives to compare them to ownership.

    The alternatives may include a refurbished product, sharing, co-owning, subscribing.

    By clicking on one of the options, the customer proceeds to check out.

  • Customers buy new products, because sustainable alternatives are not easily available to them.

  • Circular alternatives to new products like pre-owned or refurbished product safe resources.
